FIELD: oxides of metals in form of particles, dispersion of metals oxides and use of them in solar protective devices.
SUBSTANCE: Specification describes zinc, iron and titanium oxides in form of particles whose average length of primary particles ranges from 50 to 90 nm, average width of primary particles ranges from 5 to 20 nm and average volumetric diameter of secondary particles is lesser than 45 nm; 70% of primary particles have length from 55 to 85 nm. Dispersion contains particles of zinc, iron and titanium oxide in dispersing medium. Average length of primary particles in dispersion ranges from 50 to 90 nm; average width of primary particles ranges from 5 to 20 nm and average volumetric diameter of secondary particles is no less than 45 nm. Zinc, iron and titanium oxide in form of particles has extinction coefficient ranging from 0.2 to 0.7 l/g/cm at 524 nm (E524), extinction coefficient at 450 nm (E450) ranges from 0.5 to 1.5 l/g/cm, extinction coefficient at 360 nm (E360) ranges from 5 to 8 l/g/cm; extinction coefficient at 308 nm (E max) ranges from 40 to 60 l/g/cm; maximum extinction coefficient ranges from 45 to 75 l/g/cm and λmax ranges from 260 to 290 nm. Solar-protective means includes oxide or dispersion indicated above.
EFFECT: enhanced transparency; reduced bleaching effect; wide spectrum of protection against ultra-violet radiation.
