SUBSTANCE: proposed dispersion contains zinc oxide particles in a dispersion medium, where zinc oxide particles in the dispersion have average volumetric diameter ranging from 70 to 130 nm. Less than 16% of the particles have volumetric diameter below the average value by less than 35 nm, and more than 84% particles have volumetric diameter above the average value by less than 57 nm. The oxide particles have absorption coefficient at 524 nm (E524) between 0.1 and 1.0 l/g/cm, absorption coefficient at 450 nm (E450) between 0.3 and 2 l/g/cm, absorption coefficient at 360 nm (E360) between 11 and 20 l/g/cm, absorption coefficient at 308 (E308) between 11 and 20 l/g/cm, maximum absorption coefficient E(max) between 12 and 20 l/g/cm and λ(max) between 363 and 377 nm. The proposed sunscreen product contains the indicated zinc oxide particles or dispersion.
EFFECT: reduced bleaching effect and increased transparency of sun-screeners, containing zinc oxide particles.
