FIELD: iron and steel industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the area of metallurgy, namely to makeup of steels used for production of main equipment for nuclear power units. Steel contains carbon, silicon, manganese, chrome, nickel, molybdenum, vanadium, copper, cobalt, sulfur, phosphor, arsenic, antimony, tin, hydrogen and iron with the following proportion of components, % w/w: carbon 0.13-0.18, silicon 0.17-0.37, manganese 0.30-0.60, chrome 1.8-2.3, nickel 1.0-1.3, molybdenum 0.5-0.7, vanadium 0.10-0.12, copper 0.005-0.06, cobalt 0.005-0.03, sulfur 0.0005-0.006, phosphor 0.0005-0.006, arsenic 0.005-0.010, antimony 0.0005-0.005, tin - 0.0005-0.005, hydrogen 0.0001-0.0002, iron - the rest. Total content of phosphor, antimony and tin is determined by the following ratio (P+Sb+Sn) ≤ 0.012.
EFFECT: increased resistance of steel to irradiation embrittlement while maintaining high resistance to embrittlement under thermal influence, temper embrittlement and guaranteed low temperature of brittle ductile period.
