SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for determining the aerodynamic characteristics of moving bodies by means of direct measurement of the velocity of the bodies in the two points. The device has two measuring units for instantaneous velocity, which includes laser emitters and photo detectors. Velocity meters are placed on the trajectory of the body motion at a certain distance from each other. Also the device for determining the coefficient of drag of a moving body includes: a digital computing device and a digital readout device. The device enables rapid determination of the coefficient of drag of a moving body in all conditions, as well as simple design, low weight and dimensions.

EFFECT: device has simple design, low weight and dimensions and allows rapid determination of the coefficient of drag of a moving body in all conditions.
