FIELD: physics, measurements.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to measurements of linear speed of moving object. Device comprises metering instrument connected to output of detector arranged in the form of laser radiator (6) and photodetector (7). Metering instrument includes amplifier-shaper (8), logical element "AND" (2), generator of sample frequency impulses (1), binary counter (3), digital computing device (4) and digital counting device (5), and also control unit and (9) throwing device, for instance cannon (10).

EFFECT: provision of possibility to measure spontaneous speed, not the average one, of moving object in any point of its flight trajectory, simplified design and reduced dimensions.
