SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and device for driving assistance for an autonomous vehicle. Method of driving assistance for autonomous vehicle, which comprises stages, at which the passenger is requested in the considered vehicle to confirm passage through the intersection and when receiving confirmation from the passenger, the considered vehicle is controlled so as to pass through the intersection. Method comprises steps of detecting a situation at an intersection to which the vehicle in question approaches, determining whether or not the vehicle in question will need to perform a temporary stop at an intersection based on the situation at the intersection and if it is determined that temporary stop is required, moment of time is delayed for passenger request to confirm passage through intersection in comparison with the moment of time to be used if it is determined that temporary stop is not required.
EFFECT: higher safety of vehicle driving is achieved.
