FIELD: bioengineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to bioengineering. The method includes arrangement of the seeds on the bed, putting the bed with the seed into the germination chamber at the temperature of 25-28°C for 7-10 days, their germination on the bed in fluid medium, calculation of the percent value of the normally germinated seeds against the standard method. As the fluid medium, the freshly prepared aqueous solution made of root secretions of the growing sunflower germinants is used. This solution is prepared in the following way: the roots of its 2-days germinants are put into the water and then they are sprouted in it within 3-5 days at the temperature of 20-25°C in the daylight.
EFFECT: accurate determination of the sowing qualities of the broomrape seeds and usage of the obtained parameters of their viability in specifying an optimal dose of the infection load in sunflower breeding to increase its resistance to the broomrape.
