THE MEANS OF ANOTOMIC RESECTION OF THE VIII LIVER SEGMENT Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B17/00 

FIELD: surgery.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for anotomic resection of the VIII liver segment. The tourniquet around the left segment crust is formed. The tourniquet goes round the common scapus of the left and middle liver veins. The right gracile sector crus is pinched by the tourniquet. Without unclamping the tourniquet on the right gracile sector the tourniquets on the left lobar crus and the common scapus of the left and middle liver veins are set for the time necessary for the transection of the liver parenchyma along the dorsal half of the interlobar rima. The tourniquets are unclamped on the left lobar crus, common scapus of the left and middle liver veins and right gracile sector crus. The right lobar crus and right liver vein are pinched by the tourniquets for the time necessary for the transection of the liver parenchyma along the right limit of the VIII segment and then along the border of the V and VIII segments. The resected segment is removed. The tourniquets are unclamped and blood flow in the liver is repaired after the resected segment elimination and hemostasis.

EFFECT: means allows cutting time for the operation, reducing hemorrhage and avoid liver ischemia.
