METHOD AND DEVICE FOR PROCESSING ASSOCIATED OIL GASES Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC C10L3/10 F17D1/02

Abstract RU 2442819 C1

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: The invention relates to oil and gas industry, in particular, to recycling systems and to use of associated oil gases and raw natural gases in power supply. The device for processing associated oil gases and raw natural gases comprises a launch system, a system for feeding and dosing the reagents, a converter, heat exchange units, a control system. The converter has at least one catalyst layer. Various combinations of aluminium oxides, silicone oxides, oxides of transitive and rare-earth elements from periods 4 to 6 (mainly periods 4 and 5 and platinum-group metals) are used as an active component of the catalyst. The method requires that associated oil gases or raw natural gases are fed into the converter which has at least one catalyst layer, and the carbon-bearing compounds present in the associated oil gases or raw natural gases are converted into methane at a temperature not exceeding 450°C.

EFFECT: effective processing and use of associated oil gases or raw natural gases in public utility services, including the transport means through the transit pipelines to the final customer.
