SUBSTANCE: the invention comprises a method for refining thread or sliver, refining machine curbing and refining machine. The method for refining thread or sliver with length of at least 1 m includes the stage of feeding thread or sliver and the liquid into the refining machine. The refining machine has refining machine curbings which have a frame around a central hole and at least one ilent for thread or sliver. The invention further relates to refining machine curbing which comprises at least one accentric inlet for thread or sliver. The inlet comprises the inlet hole with a slide on the flow side of the inlet, the slide serves to direct the thread or sliver from the inlet hole to the refining machine curbing surface. The invention also relates to a refining machine with the said curbing.

EFFECT: prevents fibre pre-processing.
