FIELD: woodworking industry.
SUBSTANCE: refiner comprises a frame; at least a first pair of refining elements, including: first refining element connected to the frame and comprising a first refining body, having a first refining surface, comprising: first refining plates separated by first refining grooves, wherein each of the first refining plates extends from a first radially inner position on the first refining surface to a first radially outer position on the first refining surface, and first teeth extending to a next radially outer position on the first refining surface, wherein the next radially outer position is closer to the outermost portion of the first refining body than the first radially outer position; second refining element connected to the frame and comprising a second refining body, which includes a second refining surface, comprising: second refining plates separated by second refining grooves, wherein each of the second refining plates extends from a second radially inner position on the second refining surface to a second radially outer position on the second refining surface, and second teeth, wherein each first refining plate is configured to be arranged opposite the corresponding second refining plate along the entire corresponding longitudinal length of the first and second refining plates when the first refining element is located opposite the second refining element, first teeth overlap with second teeth so that part of first teeth overlaps part of second teeth in axial direction, and the first refining element is located at a distance from the second refining element, which defines a refining space between them; and a rotor connected to the frame, connected to one of the first refining element and the second refining element and configured to initiate movement of the first and second refining elements relative to each other during rotation.
EFFECT: group of inventions relates to a wood pulp refiner and refining elements for a wood pulp refiner.
