FIELD: environment protection.
SUBSTANCE: the invention relates mainly to reduction of air and soil pollution, including heat pollution caused by extracting hydrocarbon fuel from reserves of the said fossil fuels in underground formations, such as combustible shales. The invention can be applied to heavy oil, old wells, coal, lignite, peat and oil sands, and can be applied on the ground while carrying out periodic or continuous processes. It can be used during and after extracting pollutants or residue from soil or from tank using electric power and critical fluids. Increased method efficiency and device reliability. The method includes: generation of carbon dioxide CO2 from one of inner sources and from the outer source; injection of CO2 as a critical fluid into the well with set temperature and pressure values; feeding the catalyst into the well; supplying heat energy to the well; processing hot fluids, including CO2, methane - CH4, oil, vapour/water and vapours produced in the well; converting hot fluids into reusable CO2, CH4, electric power and water; and use of electric power to supply heat energy to the well to use it in outer power distribution network.
EFFECT: reduced greenhouse gases emission and residual heat emission at final resting place.
