FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of operation of sprayer 1 used to apply coat on parts, particularly, automotive body units. Proposed method comprises changing actual width of spayed jet to preset width by adjusting first flow of guide air depending upon definite application parameter. Besides, actual overlap of strips is changed for desirable overlap by adjusting distance between strips and/or by adjusting varnish application rate depending upon application parameter. Alternatively, is it possible to allow for variations in application parameter and sprayed jet width variations by adjusting distances between adjacent strips of applied material to maintain invariable overlap of strips, Also, this invention covers appropriate coat application device.
EFFECT: economic use of varnish, higher efficiency of application.
