FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of rubber-fluoroplastic seal to be used in aggressive media at high temperatures. Proposed method consists in coating vulcanised rubber core by shell from hollow profile extruded from thermoplastic FEP. Said shell is cut to precut pieces with length not exceeding that of said core and depending upon seal size, workpiece produced, placed in mould, thermally treated and cooled down. Note her that coating is performed by drawing said core inside hollow extruded profile. Note also that core is pre-made as cord with cross section matching that of extruded profile. After drawing, thermal treatment is carried out at 280-320° at shell seam area at 10-20 kgs/cm2 and, thereafter, cooled down.
EFFECT: higher operating performances and process efficiency.
