FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modification of polymer material surface. Proposed comprises processing high-frequency fire-holding discharge in low-temperature plasma at reduced medium pressure in discharge chamber. Process is realised in two steps. At first steep, plasma processing is performed in atmosphere of saturated steam at 1.0-1.5 kPa for 15-20 s and with specific power of discharge of 50-200 W/m2. At second step, pressure of 10-15 kPa is developed by feeding industrial air into aforesaid chamber to perform plasma processing for 2-5 s with specific power of discharge of 2.0-2.5 kW/m2.
EFFECT: stable surface hydrophillisation at high degree of surface purification, better adhesion properties of polyethylene.
