FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to composite materials and can be used for production of strong wear-resistant articles operating in tribocouplings under effect of static and dynamic loads. To obtain a composite Al2O3-Al aluminium powder (PAP-2) containing a stearine coating, mixed with aqueous solution of liquid glass, is maintained at room temperature for 0.5-1 h until formation of sodium stearate and glycerol, mixture is granulated and workpiece is pressed at 200-300 MPa. Workpiece is thermally treated in air at 350-360°C, for 2-5 hours and further be pressed under pressure 720-1,000 MPa. Workpiece is sintered by initiating process of self-propagating high-temperature synthesis by heating with air heat carrier to 550-600°C with further isothermal holding for 10-15 minutes, then raising temperature of air heat carrier at a rate of 10-20°C/min to 630-700°C with curing for 5-7 minutes, after that lowering temperature of air heat carrier at a rate of 10-20 °C/min to 550-600°C with further isothermal holding for 15-40 minutes. Phase composition of sintered material is as follows (vol%): Al - 75-80%, γ-Al2O3 - 12-15%, α-Na2Si2O5 - 4.5-6.0%, Si - 17.5-4%, C - 0.5-1.5%. Density of material is 2.40-2.45 g/cm3, strength under impact bending - (20-30)·103 J/m2, ultimate bending strength at three-point loading procedure - 330-400 MPa.

EFFECT: higher strength of composite material at impact and static load application.
