FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves saturation of incoming water with oxygen in an aeration chamber 1 through bottom aerators 3. Further, small portions of water are fed into a magnetic chamber 6 through an air-lift pump 4. Magnetic treatment of the water is carried out in a variable magnetic field by feeding aerated water through an annular space formed by a set of permanent magnets lying with alternating polarity. After magnetic treatment, the water undergoes ultraviolet treatment in a device 7. The treated water is fed into a passive filter 12 and then into a reservoir. The water treatment processes are repeated several times with recirculation of the purified water. The aeration chamber and the reservoir of purified water can be made in form of separate containers 28 and 29, joined by a cross-flow channel 18 of purified water for recirculation. The passive filter 12 lies outside the containers.
EFFECT: invention improves the method of purifying drinking water and simplifies the apparatus, reduces power consumption during water treatment while achieving a fail-safe mode and increasing reliability of the apparatus.
