FIELD: sports.
SUBSTANCE: this invention is related to the field of sports and may be used to achieve record results during speed running of a sportsman with skates on ice. Skates have a hinged joint in the middle part of a skate blade, equipped with a return spring and a stop. It makes it possible in the phase of completion of repulsion with the spring force and stop action to rotate the rear part of the skate blade relative to the hinged joint clockwise approximately by 5°, taking this part of the blade out of contact with ice, to increase at the same time specific pressure at ice approximately 1.5-2 times, providing for even distribution of increased force impacting the sportsman through ice via the front part of the skate blade, increasing skate deepening, and accordingly to afford the possibility of maximum acceleration during speeding up and to retain speed at turns.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of repulsion due to optimal distribution of forces on the sliding surface.
