FIELD: technique used in roller skates, skis and other sportive equipment movable on rollers.
SUBSTANCE: roller has rolling bodies positioned for rotation around their axes of rotation within closed circular channels. Each circular channel is formed at site of joining of respective face and side surfaces of roller. Each of rolling bodies is positioned so that part of its face surface is embraced by channel surface, and its axis of rotation is perpendicular to axis of rotation of roller. Roller of such design provides smooth braking within wide range of angles of inclination of rolling planes to plane of support, and enables simulating cooperation of skate blade with ice during in-run and braking during running on skates over ice.
EFFECT: wider range of usages and simplified construction.
