FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, namely to ophthalmology, maxillofacial and plastic surgery and is intended for surgical correction of palpebral fissure form at eyelid retraction, conditioned by inherent, senile and post-traumatic changes. Method consists in implantation and fixation of transplant on anterior surface of tarsal plate of lower eyelid. Skin cut is performed, indenting 2-3 mm down from ciliary edge, going 10 mm beyond external angle of eye on natural wrinkle. As transplant applied is 1 mm thick plate from polytetrafluoroethylene in form of tarsal plate. Plate is fixed to ligaments of eyelids or to periosteum above fastening of eyelid ligaments. If hard fixation to periosteum is necessary perforation openings on external edge of orbit are additionally formed.
EFFECT: application of claimed method makes it possible to preserve anatomical integrity of costal edge of eyelid and lateral ligament of eyelid, reliably strengthen tarsal plate and ligamentous eyelid by menas of transplant from polytetrafluoroethylene, modelled in form of lower eyelid.
