FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mixing of loose materials and may be used in chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industries. Proposed method comprises simultaneous loading of components over the mixer entire length, their mixing and mix unloading. Variation of angle of attack of the vanes eliminates irregular load on drive shaft, equalises concentration of initial components in axial direction due to two opposed flows and intensifies convective and diffusive mixing by combining large- and small-scale displacement of material particles. Unloading is performed by displacing the entire volume of mix by two opposed flows without loss of its homogeneity via unloading assembly or assemblies. Proposed installation comprises drive vaned shaft and mechanism to vary angle of attack of vanes depending upon drive shaft rotation.
EFFECT: ruling out non-uniform drive shaft load, faster mixing and unloading, higher quality of mixing.
