FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method comprises multi-pass strip squeezing with reduction in final pass with working rolls, surface of ball of one said rolls has holes made thereon. Compensation of deformation contact asymmetry caused by holes available on one of said rolls and reduction in gradient influence of temperature resulted from contact interaction between rolls and strip are ensured by rolling, in final pass, with relative reduction of 10-20% at strip temperature of 780-950°C and mismatch between speeds of rolls equal to 1.1-3.2%. Note here that hole depth makes 1.2-4.5 mm.
EFFECT: reduced wear of working rolls, higher quality of hot-rolled strip.
