FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for measuring parameters of intersections comprises: an intersection line sensor for viewing an intersection, a pantograph line sensor directed towards the periphery of the pantograph, a luminous element for illuminating an intersection, a unit for forming an image from the line sensor, as well as for storing said images as input images. The apparatus also has a unit for binarisation via recognition analysis for forming a binary image, a noise removal unit for removing noise from the binary image, a unit for determining boundaries of the intersection region for determining boundaries of the intersection region on the binary image, a unit for calculating height of the intersection region for determining the width of the intersection region on the image, a unit for calculating deviation of the intersection region for determining the value of the centre of the intersection boundaries and for determining deviation of the centre of gravity from the centre, a unit for calculating height and position of the pantograph and a unit for calculating the relative position of the pantograph and intersection for determining the mutual alignment of the pantograph and the intersection.

EFFECT: more accurate measurement of parameters of intersections by processing images obtained using one camera.
