FIELD: transport.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrified railroad transport. Proposed device allows simple calibration in measurement of current collector height 10a. It comprises linear sensor 20 arranged at car roof 10, computer 30 to analyse image caught by linear sensor 20 and calibration element 40 operating in the range including that of current collector displacement and having black and white regions arranged in turns in vertical direction. Said computer 30 finds approximated expression for computation the height of overhead wire. Note here that approximated expression represents relation ship between positions of said black and white regions and their actual heights 40w. Note here that positions are derived from calibration element image caught by linear sensor 20.
EFFECT: higher reliability and measurement accuracy.
