METHOD FOR ASSESSING IMMUNOLOGICAL PROPHYLACTIC ULTRASOUND EFFECT IN EXPERIMENT Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC G09B23/28 A61N7/00 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: thymus region is examined by ultrasound. The irradiation is conducted in accordance with a liability technique at intensity 0.05 Wt/sq.cm, single exposure 1-2 minutes, total number of procedures 5-6 with one procedure following every 2-3 days. After the completion of the preventive ultrasound exposure procedures, a surgical intervention is simulated by opening and closure of a peritoneum. From the following day, the animals are exposed to external fractional gamma irradiation in single dose 2.5 per 3 times every second day that is accompanied with an intraperitoneal single injection of cyclopohsphane 4 mg/100 g of animal's body weight. On the 10-14^th day, blood is sampled, and the animal is killed. Animal's blood serum is examined for the leukocyte content (Lk in 10⁹ cell/ml), phagocytic activity (PhA - in %), phagocytic index of leukocytes (PIL in units), aspartate aminotransfrerase content (AST in mole/l), serotonine (St in mole/l). It is followed by a prophylactic index (PI) by formula: and if its value exceeds 8.0, the presence of the prophylactic ultrasound effect is stated.

EFFECT: method provides an objective assessment of ultrasound barrier action in the environment close to cytostatic scenarios in oncological practices.
