METHOD FOR EVALUATING CLINICAL EFFECTIVENESS IN ATOPIC DERMATITIS Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B5/107

Abstract RU 2445921 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to dermatology. For the purpose of evaluating clinical effectiveness in atopic dermatitis, there are evaluated: pre- and post-treatment a total area of skin affected by primary rash elements in percent of total body surface area, an intensity of primary rash elements; an integral index of atopic dermatitis. In erythematous-squamous form of the disease either no-lichenification, or with lichenifications of various degree of manifestation, a total area of erythematous skin is evaluated. In no-erythema lichenoid form - a total area of skin affected by lichenification. The integral index of atopic dermatitis is calculated by formulaI i=Ipe(Spe·/Ss)·100%, where Ipe is the intensity of primary rash, erythema or lichenification element, Spe is the total area of skin affected by primary rash elements, Ss is the total body surface area. If the post-treatment integral index of atopic dermatitis I decreases by 50% and more, high clinical effectiveness is concluded. The I value decreasing by 10-49% - moderate clinical effectiveness. The I value decreasing less than by 10% - insufficient clinical effectiveness.

EFFECT: method provides high-accuracy evaluation of clinical effectiveness of erythematous-squamous form of the disease either no-lichenification, or with lichenifications of various degree of manifestation and lichenoid form of atopic dermatitis.
