FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry in techniques for removing CO2 or H2S from gases. The absorbent contains 30-55 wt % 2-n-butylaminoethanol or 2-ethylaminoethanol and 1-30 wt % of two amine-containing compounds. Said amine-containing compounds are selected from linear or cyclic amine-containing compounds having a primary amine group, a secondary amine group, as well as any of the compounds: 1-(2-aminoethyl)piperazine, monoethanolamine and 2-amino-2-methylpropanol. Said amine-containing compounds used also include piperazine, methylpiperazine, hydroxyethylpiperazine, diethanolamine, diisopropanolamine, diglycolamine, 3-amino-1-propanol, 2-methylaminoethanol, 2-ethylaminoethanol, 2-n-propylaminoethanol, 2-n-butylaminoethanol, 2-isopropylaminoethanol, 2-isobutylaminoethanol and piperidinol. The absorbent also contains water.
EFFECT: absorbent increases rate of absorption of CO2 or H2S, as well as effective absorption of a small amount of CO2 contained in a large amount of flue bases from a steam boiler.
