FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method and device for concentration of oxygen heavy isotopes exploiting ozone photochemical decomposition by laser radiation. Proposed method comprises first stage of distillation whereat oxygen and ozone are fed into distillation column filled with diluting gas, stage of oxygen release from distillation column top section, stage of pressure release in distillation column, stage of photodecomposition whereat gas mix consisting of ozone and diluting gas is fed from distillation column bottom section into photochemical reaction chamber, irradiating gas mix by laser radiation, second distillation stage whereat undecomposed ozone and oxygen are forced back into distillation column, stage of oxygen liquefaction using a condenser, stage of extraction of undecomposed ozone from distillation column, third distillation stage whereat oxygen and diluting gas are separated, and release of separated oxygen. Proposed device comprises ozoniser, distillation column, photochemical reaction chamber and ozone decomposer.
EFFECT: higher stability and safety, lower costs.
