FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing a γ-polymorphic modification of 2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazatetracyclo [5,5,0,03,11,05,9]dodecane, which is used as a component of high-energy compounds. The starting solution is a 2,4,6,8,10,12-hexanitro-2,4,6,8,10,12-hexaazatetracyclo [5,5,0,03,11,05,9]dodecane (GAV)-ethylacetate-toluene system. Crystals of the γ-polymorphic modification of GAV settle at 75-110°C.
EFFECT: method is effective and technologically efficient and widens the range of compositions for which the obtained end product is suitable, in accordance with the existing need for meeting conditions for achieving high degree of purity, homogeneity and minimising particle size spread of the γ-polymorphic modification of GAV regardless of the initial form of GAV.
