FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for determining degree of sorption of polar substances by liquid crystal sorbents under the effect of an electric field has a gas preparation unit. The apparatus also has a module for inputting samples into one of two parallel-connected quartz columns filled with a liquid crystal sorbent. The apparatus also has two detectors at the output of each column and two controlled fluidic resistors. The sample to be analysed is simultaneously fed into two identical columns connected to the sample input module through constant fluidic resistors which are in form of sections of a small-diameter capillary. The input of each column is connected to the controlled fluidic resistor to divide flow, and one of the columns is placed between two plane-parallel electrodes connected to a dc voltage source.

EFFECT: high accuracy and shorter analysis time.
