FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus for analysing optical isomers under the effect of an electric field on a sorbent has series-connected gas preparation unit, sample input module with a flow divider and two chromatographic columns. The apparatus also has a detector and a processing system. The first main column is connected to the sample input module, the second additional column is in form of a short tube made from non-electroconductive material with a coaxial electrode made from nickel wire and is filled with a liquid crystal sorbent and is connected to the detector. The second electrode is a current-conducting layer deposited on the outer surface of the column. The electrodes are connected to a dc power supply. The apparatus additionally has a second detector connected to the bleed line of the flow divider by a constant fluidic resistor, and the second additional column is filled with a chiral liquid crystal sorbent.

EFFECT: high accuracy and shorter analysis time.
