SUBSTANCE: set on invention relates to clutch slip protection and to clutch control device. Proposed method comprises defining engine power output, measuring path traversed during first time interval, switching on excessive clutch slip indicator, initiating measuring vehicle speed, and switching on warning device. Warning device is initiated if vehicle traversed smaller path than preset one during preset time interval. Said device is switched on if vehicle traversed smaller path than preset one during preset time interval and measured speed is smaller than preset one. Vehicle control unit incorporates computer with memory with loaded software. In executing loaded computer program, control unit executes operations of above described method.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
