FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method and a device for generating a seismic signal, meant to generate energy in form of a plurality of successive vibration signals spaced apart in time. Each of the plurality of vibration signals comprises a plurality of fragments separated from the sweep signal such that each of the fragments has sweep frequency division different from other fragments. Each of the vibration signals has a unique fragment signature different from other vibration signals. During seismic exploration, divided vibration signals are emitted onto a land form of interest as seismic signals.
EFFECT: rapid collection of data on an investigated object with high reliability.
