Abstract RU 2448657 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and is applicable in treating patient with ingrown nails. A method implies applying on an involved part of nail a bandage with an ointment of the following formulation: crystalline iodine 5 g, 20% aqueous calcium iodide 10 ml, salicylic acid 10 g, dimexide 28 ml and lanolin 60 g. Then the ingrown part of nail is dissected with a lateral wall along an ingrowth line with a nail plate and deep tissues being cut to a nail bed base and further in a proximal direction. The nail bed is excised with a growth zone using a sharp instrument in a single incision ('movement)'. The en bloc removal of the part of nail with the bed, growth zone and wall is followed by treating a wound surface with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Then 2-4 oblique sutures are applied on the wound, and the lateral wall is created. When applying the sutures within the growth zone, a needle after skin puncture is delivered above the matrix and the nail plate. Starting from the following postoperative day, within a dressing procedure the treated and dried wound is exposed to EHF radiation generated by the AMFIT apparatus of the noise power spectrum of 53.57-78.33 GHz, radiation power 1.0-1.2 mcWt. When radiated, the wound is covered with a sterile tissue for 25-30 minutes once a day for 7 days.

EFFECT: method reduces the length of postoperative treatment and patients' disability, prevents purulent complications and recurrences.
