FIELD: construction, road engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydraulic engineering and nature conservation construction and may be used to protect coastal zones of rivers and canals against erosion, roads and sites against collapse. In the method of erection of a retaining wall of biopositive design, stages of the retaining wall are made of heavy fascines and gabion mats folded in layers. Heavy fascines are laid into the base of the first stage and along the slope horizontally into two or three rows. On top of heavy fascines rows and normally to them gabion mats are laid into a dense row to form the site of the first stage. The second stage of the retaining wall is erected having backed by the width of the first stage site from one or two rows of heavy fascines and one row of gabion mats, which are laid on top and normally to row of heavy fascines and form the second stage site. Using the same technology, the third and subsequent stages of the retaining wall are erected. Heavy fascines are made with diametre of 0.5-0.7 m and length of 2-2.5 m from a soil filler and flexible shells. Gabion mats are made from light fascines and perforated pipes laid in alternating layers and wrapped into a gabion net. On top of the last stage of the retaining wall on the slope there is a fixture from gabion mats, the filler of which is made of tight rows of light fascines laid normally to the line of slope inclination.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency of a protective structure and helps to recover nature conservation green zones along riverbeds.
