FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: fibreglass pyrotechnical cannon comprises integrally arranged components - a fibreglass pipe with a bottom plug rigidly fixed in it. It includes at least three layers joined to each other with different direction of reinforcement, produced by roving winding from glass fibre impregnated with a polymer binder. In the centre of the bottom plug there is a through technological opening. The device to form a fibreglass pyrotechnical cannon comprises a cylindrical holder with a threaded hole made coaxially in its end part, a matrix bushing and a flange with a central hole. The flange by means of a pin or a bolt via the matrix bushing is rigidly connected with the cylindrical holder. The method to manufacture a fibreglass pyrotechnical cannon includes circular winding of roving onto the cylindrical holder with simultaneous formation of a bottom plug holder in the form of a convex dome near the end part. Spiral winding at the angle of roving inclination to the holder axis of preferably 10-20° along the surface shaped with circular winding, including a dome-shaped surface of the bottom plug. At least two layers of roving with alternation of one layer roving inclination relative to the other one in mutually opposite directions, circular winding of roving along entire surface with formation of a flat end in the field of the bottom plug and subsequent thermal processing.
EFFECT: higher strength of fibreglass pyrotechnical cannon.
