FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: time-serial receive of two instances of signal and noise mixture process is executed by one receiver, noise process is digitised, herewith the first and the second instances are realised as n sets of digitised counts obtained successively in time. Then, following actions are executed: spectral processing of the first instance for which purpose each of n sets of counts goes through fast Fourier transformation; isolation of real and imaginary parts of noise process complex spectrum for the first instance; summation of real and imaginary spectrum parts over n count sets of the first instance. After that, identical spectral processing of the second instance is executed; from the sum of real parts of n count sets of the first instance the sum of real parts of n count sets of the second instance is subtracted. Similarly, difference of imaginary parts sums of n count sets of the first and the second instances is found; differences of real and imaginary spectrum parts are squared, and noise energy is found as result of adding squares of these differences.

EFFECT: possibility to determine noise energy of noise process using one receiver.
