FIELD: underwater acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: method includes sampling a noise electric process which is a mixture of noise electric signal and normal steady-state noise interference, accumulating samples of the noise electric process, fast Fourier transformation of the set of samples of the noise electric process, extracting real and imaginary parts of the energy spectrum for n determined subsequently in time series of samples of the noise electric process, summarizing real parts of the energy spectrum over the n series, summarizing the imaginary parts of the energy spectrum over the n series, and squaring the sums of real and imaginary parts of the energy spectrum over the n series. The energy spectrum of the noise electric signal is the sum of the squares of these sums.
EFFECT: enhanced signal-to-noise ratio.
