FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of theory and methodology of physical culture and sport. Step-by-step bicycle exercise testing is performed. Minute respiration volume (MRV) is determined, specific respiratory volume (specific RV) is calculated as ratio of minute respiratory volume to power of performed work. RV dynamics is shown graphically in form of trend as ratio of specific RV to increment of stress power. If stress growth, conclusion about inefficiency of work or fatigue is made, if specific RV grows with growth of stress, conclusion about increase of contribution of anaerobic glycolysis in energy provision of work of moderate power is made, in case of expressed reduction and increase of specific RV with absence of stable segment conclusion about inefficient motor activity or fatigue resulting in fast and significant activation of glycolysis is made.
EFFECT: method extends arsenal of means for estimation of physical work capacity of athlete.
