FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy. In compliance with this invention, lateral position of strip B is adjusted. Note here that adjustment comprises the following jobs: Parameter describing lateral position of strip B along line transverse relative to strip travel direction if determined at outlet of every stand of roll mill. Algebraic deviations (Δxp) between said lateral positions and reference value 6 are calculated. Proceeding from (Δxp) values, value (Sp) of additional inclination is calculated to reduce said algebraic deviations to that below preset threshold. Appropriate instruction is fed to every of aforesaid stands for additional inclination. Said jobs are renewed in preset time intervals unless strip B leaves the grip of the roll mill last stand.
EFFECT: higher quality of strip.
