FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be used at continuous wide-strip rolling mill in production of hot-rolled strips from martensite-class nickel-chromium steels for armored structures. Proposed method comprises multipass reduction of blanks at continuous set of stands with strip water cooling at interstand spacings at specified finishing temperature and accelerated cooling of rolled strips at collecting roller table. Finishing temperature is kept equal to 950-1050°V and cooling duration is increased at, at least, one interstand spacing by deflecting the strip from rolling axis. Accelerated cooling is effected to 150- 450°C while strip deflection from rolling axis is performed with the help of a hollow water-cooled roller. Helical grooves are made at said roller surface to diverge from roller body center to its edges to up hot-rolled strip armor protection properties.
EFFECT: hot-rolled strips of martensite nickel-chromium steels for armored structures.
