SUBSTANCE: invention relates to material handling equipment and may be used at, for example, warehouses. Cart 10 has protective roof 100 with frame 106. Roof frame is jointed with cart appropriate bearing structure so that its extends above, at least, cart operator compartment section. Roof frame is arranged at angle of approximately five degrees to horizontal line and directed upward to cargo handling unit 12 in, at least, roof area located between normal cart position and cargo handling unit. Protective roof incorporates, at least, one element supported by frame 106 in area located above operator compartment. In compliance with second version, protective roof has multiple elements supported by roof frame in, at least, area located above cart operator compartment.
