FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of synthetic porous aggregates for concrete. The method of producing porous aggregate involves preparation of a ceramic mixture, moulding granules, drying, applying a layer of ceramic slip onto the surface of the granules and firing. The ceramic slip used contains the following, wt %: low melting clay 35, ground sheet glass 10, water 55, and the granules are moulded using a ceramic mixture containing the following, wt %: low melting clay 70, sawdust 2, dolomite 6, water 22, or containing the following, wt %: clay which is capable of expanding in thermal processing conditions 64, quartz sand 5, sawdust 5 and water 26.
EFFECT: high strength of porous aggregate obtained while firing once.
