FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing hydrocarbons from hydrocarbon-containing materials and can involve building infrastructure (100) with controlled permeability, having a storage reservoir with controlled permeability. That built infrastructure essentially defines a closed volume. Crushed hydrocarbon-containing material can be fed into control infrastructure to form a permeable mass (120) of hydrocarbon-containing material. The permeable mass (120) can be heated sufficiently to remove hydrogen therefrom, for example, using heating pipes (118, 126). During heating, the hydrocarbon-containing material is essentially stationary since the built infrastructure (100) is a fixed structure. The removed hydrocarbons can be collected as liquid products (136) and gaseous products (140) for further processing, consumption in the process and/or use as obtained. The invention also relates to a built infrastructure with controlled permeability for producing hydrocarbons from hydrocarbon-containing materials.
EFFECT: improved extraction of hydrocarbons from exploited surface or underground deposits of hydrocarbon-containing materials.
