FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention may be used in production of wide hot-rolled strips with thickness of 4.0÷9.0 mm from low-alloyed steel grades, designed for further manufacturing of vehicle power elements by the method of stamping (beams, crosspieces, frames of trucks). Steel is melted, containing the following components, wt %: carbon 0.10÷0.20; silicon 0.10÷0.50; manganese 1.15÷1.45; sulfur 0.010 max.; phosphorus 0.015 max.; chrome 0.10 max.; nickel 0.15÷0.25; copper 0.15÷0.25; aluminium 0.020÷0.050; niobium 0.05÷0.08; vanadium 0.03÷0.05; titanium 0.010÷0.025; iron - balance, then the following is carried out - continuous pouring, hot rolling with temperature of plastic deformation completion in the range of 790÷840°C, differentiated cooling of upper and lower surface of a strip with water, at the same time strip temperature depending on its final thickness prior to winding into a roll is maintained in the range of 550-600°C.
EFFECT: higher strength characteristics of a coiled hot-rolled strip with preservation of plasticity.
