FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: slab from low-alloy steel with carbon content of 0.14-0.22%, those of silicon of 0.40-0.80% and manganese of 0.80-1.50%, is rolled at hot-rolling broad-strip malls. Preset structural behavior and viscosity are ensured by setting finishing temperature at roughing train subject to strip final thickness to 980-1040°C. Besides, minimum single reduction is regulated in first finishing passes of continuous train depending upon strip final thickness. Hot-rolled strip surface cooling rate in mill interstand space is regulated by mathematical equation.
EFFECT: higher quality of hot-rolled strips for production of tubes and roll-formed sections.
