SUBSTANCE: drilling bit to create a helical groove comprises a body with a fixed cutter and at least one rotary cutter with a cutting edge, which in the first position as the body rotates towards drilling a blast hole is not extended beyond the periphery, and in the second position as the body rotates in the direction opposite to direction of drilling is extended in radial direction beyond the periphery. In the method to create the helical groove in the blast hole the specified bit is used, the bit is rotated in the first direction as it is moved in the first axial direction into the bed to form a blast hole, the bit is rotated in the second direction, as it is moved in the second axial direction to form a helical groove on the blast hole.
EFFECT: development of a drilling bit and the method to create helical or spiral grooves in the blast hole walls in one stage.
