FIELD: power engineering.
SUBSTANCE: metal-hydride accumulator for hydrogen storage comprises a vessel and a battery of fuel elements. The battery is made in the form of two coils made as capable of winding a wide tape from a metal alloy onto them and its rewinding off one coil onto the other one. On one of the coils the metal alloy is combined with hydrogen to form a metal hydride Al(BH4)3 or Bi(BH4)2 with high hydrogen content. The tape passes between coils near a heat-releasing electric element arranged outside the vessel, ensuring hydrogen release. The vessel has a glased window. Coils are separated with a heat insulation partition.
EFFECT: using the invention will make it possible to provide for quick release of the necessary hydrogen portion in a short period of time.
