FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: range finder has a laser system which has pulsed driving diode generator and at least one pumped active fibre-optic power amplifier lying after said pulsed driving diode generator. All laser light channels are essentially optical fibres. The system further includes an optical fibre, one end of which is operably connected to the output of said pumped active fibre-optic amplifier, and the other end is operably connected to the optical system of the laser light transmitter, which depends on the laser light coming out of said active amplifier. Said other end adapts the mode field diameter to said transmitter optical system, and thus determines divergence of the emitted laser beam.
EFFECT: more compact device.
