FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention serves to extract dropping fluid, liquid aerosols and fog from gas flows. Proposed method is implemented in device comprising housing made up of cylindrical shell with covers, initial gas flow feed branch pipe, at least, two purified gas and separated fluid discharge branch pipes, and, at least, one filtration union with, at least, one layer of filtering coalescent material. Filtering unit is made up of support rectangular frame with outer edges tightly jointed to inner surfaces of said cylindrical shell and covers and arranged parallel with axis of symmetry of said housing and perpendicular to housing covers. Housing includes outer support structure to arranged the former so that deviation of filtering material layers from vertical is not smaller than angle of separated fluid outflow. Initial gas flow feed branch pipe comprises distribution element to dissipate kinetic power of said flow, made up of elliptic reflector. Filtering unit comprises plates made from porous-cellular metal or alloy, or their combination with other filtration materials.
EFFECT: simplified design and servicing, lower costs.
